Petronas Youngstars Day 2016 Experience

If u guys are selected for Petronas Interview, this post may help you! You may wonder how will be the situation looks like and what will be the assessment given. It may changes by year but trust me, previous experience will help you prepare!
My interview was conducted at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. The interview was called Petronas Youngstars Day. Believe me, Petronas organise their event so perfectly that you can see Petronas banners everywhere in the Uni. They even provide us food too!
The assessment consists of two stages.
Stage 1: Online Assessment
Stage 2: Student Potential Assessment
Stage 1
During the online Assessement, we were sitting for two tests:-
- Cambridge Personal Styles Questionnaire
This tests your personality whether you deserves the scholarship and suitable to be part of the Petronas family.
- Thinking Skills Assessment
It tests your critical thinking skills and your English comprehension level.
Only successful candidates will proceed to the final stage. Lucky me, I did it well and the next stage was conducted in the evening of the exactly same day.
Stage 2
During the Student Potential Assessment, we were divided into some groups. Fyi, we will have a group interview assessed by Petronas Leaders.
The task that was given to us on that time was creating an alternative to increase Petronas' sales. Each team member should give one alternative. In the end, we have to discuss and choose the best alternative, thus presenting them as your team's idea.
The task may looks easy, but the interviewers assess on how confident you are in voicing out your opinion and how can you negotiate and cooperate within your team members.
Alhamdulillah, 4 of our team members succeeded in securing Petronas Sponsorship. The primary key is that as long you are doing well as a team, it is not impossible that all of you thrive! Never try to eliminate others. Instead, help each other so that everyone can captivate the interviewers.
